For this task, our class needed to watch six videos about how to be safe on the road and at home. My favorite part when learning to be safe was watching the videos. Maybe next time I could watch more videos about being safe on the road and at home.

Power of words

 W.A.L.T Be smart if something happens online and you do not like it

For this task, we had to write about S.T.O.P meaning step away from the device, tell a trusted adult, okay sites only, pause, and think.

Safety first

 W.A.L.T listen and learn about what to do while walking and staying at home by yourself

When you are walking home by yourself do not take a ride with any people you do not trust or your parents don't trust. Also when you get back to your house always check in with your neighbor. When you get to your house always lock the door and do not open the door to people you do not know.

For this task, we had to  LEARN - About the Tongan language & culture. CREATE - A blog post about what you have learned about the Tongan language & culture. SHARE - Your Tongan Language week mahi on your blog. 

We were learning about Tongan vocabulary.

I found it easy to write down all of the questions.

I found it hard to find all of the questions. 

I really enjoyed finding the answers and reading the text about Tongan. 

Next time I need to find out more of a better summary.  

Multi-step math word problems

WALT: Solve multi-step maths word problems

For this task, we had to do 1 Math word problems a day. Remember Ruma Rima, use what you know to solve the problems. When working through these problems try to see how many different strategies you use to can solve them. This will add more challenge and develop your mathematical thinking. Looking forward to hearing all the different strategies you used to work these out. For each word problem, write down the Equation (E), Working out (W.0), and the Answer (A). The problems may involve adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing. I liked doing this because we could try.

Mapere planting

W.A.L.T Write about our Mapere planting experience 

Today rooms 5, 7, and 11 walked to Mapere to plant Spinifex and Flax. We went to Mapere to try and help our environment and the dune restoration program. We planted Spinifex to stop erosion. We also got put into 12 groups, and I was the group leader for group 3. After we got put into our groups we got to go down to the beach (Ahipara beach) and plant some plants. When all of the plants were planted we got to go have some sausage sizzles. While we were eating they told us how many plants we all planted and the total of our plants altogether was 750. My favourite thing I did at Mapere was sitting down and relaxing after we planted our plants.
